In the Buddha, the Dharma and the supreme assembly,
I take refuge until enlightenment.
By the merit of generosity and so forth
may I attain buddhahood for the welfare of all beings.
NAMO In the lord guru, the sovereign of all buddha families,
in the yidam deity, the source of accomplishment
and in the แธฤkinฤซs, who dispel obstacles
I take refuge in the Three Roots.
NAMO In the empty essence, dharmakฤya,
in the cognizant nature, sambhogakฤya,
and in the manifold capacity, nirmanakฤya,
I take refuge until enlightenment.
HOแธค In order to establish all beings equal to the sky
in the state of buddhahood,
I will realize dharmakฤya of self-existing awareness
through the teachings of the Great Perfection.
Sublime and precious root master,
reside on the lotus seat above my head.
Embrace me with your immense kindness,
and grant me the accomplishments of body, speech and mind.
ฤแธค Master think of me!
ฤแธค Master think of me!
Light rays stream forth from the four places of the glorious guru's Body
and dissolve into my four places.
Blessed by the vajra Body, Speech, Mind and Wisdom,
I receive the four empowerments.
The master who embodies all objects of refuge
with great joy dissolves into me.
In the state of the unfabricated all-ground,
my mind too is free from fixation.
It is the pure dharmakฤya free from mental constructs.
In dharmakฤya we are not two.
May all the aspirations for the benefit of beings,
from Samantabhadra and great Vajradhฤra
down until our kind root guru,
be accomplished this very day.
Grant your blessing
that we may train in impartial love and compassion,
and directly realize the ultimate and co-emergent wisdom
as all Buddhas and their sons and daughters have done.
By this virtue
may all beings perfect the accumulations of merit and wisdom,
and may they attain the sacred two kฤyas
resulting from merit and wisdom.
Ema I, the madman Senge Wangchuk,
have exhausted karma-prana and expanded wisdom.
Freed from the sphere of the five gates of ignorance,
I have entered the sphere of luminous self-awareness.
When the illusion of the three doors has collapsed,
how pitiful is the whole basis of delusion.
When the knots of confused experience are cut,
how tiring is so-called concentration.
When confusion arises as wisdom,
all pure appearances are deceptive phenomena.
When everything has dissolved into space,
nothing whatsoever, yet everything manifests.
Amazing, amazing is the kindness of the sacred one.
Amazing, these words at the moment of passing away,
the essential meaning, are the heart placed fresh in the palm, nothing else.
May these final words appear at the end of this age.
Defilements self-exhausted, the elements naturally dissolved,
thinking self-liberated, the transparent body of light,
through being equal to Senge Wangchuk,
may the depths of saแนsฤra be overturned by the four liberations.
This illuminating lamp of original pure awareness,
I offer to the maแนแธala deities of Vidyฤdhara Padmฤkara.
May all beings, my mothers, wherever awareness pervades,
attain the dharmakฤya level of aware emptiness.
Padmasambhava, inseparable from the primordial nature,
pure self-phenomena, the Copper Colored Mountain buddhafield,
indivisible appearance and awareness, the uncontrived natural state;
may everyone be born in this primordial pure land.
Precious guru, Buddha of the three times,
Lord of all siddhis, Great bliss,
Dispeller of all obstacles, wrathful tamer of demons,
I supplicate you, please grant your blessings.
Pacify the outer, inner and secret obstacles
and bless me that I may spontaneously fulfill my wishes.
Precious master of Uแธแธiyฤna, I supplicate you;
may obstacles and mishap not arise.
May good conditions be gathered and our wishes fulfilled.
Bestow the supreme and common siddhis.
May the supreme and precious mind of enlightenment,
awaken in those where it has not yet arisen.
Where it has arisen, may it never decrease,
but continue to flourish forever more.
By this merit, may I attain omniscience.
Having defeated the enemy, misdeeds,
may I free all beings from the ocean of existence,
with its stormy waves of birth, old age, sickness and death.
You are the activity of the victorious ones, vanquishing the four demons.
Karmapa, may there be the auspiciousness that your teachings, the supreme essence of the doctrine,
increase and expand without any end,
spreading all-pervasively and unceasingly throughout the ten directions.
May the tradition of Drodรผl Chokgyur Dechen Lingpa,
the universal monarch of the ocean of incarnated tertรถns,
pervade throughout all directions and times,
and may there be the auspiciousness of unfolding the virtuous marks of benefit and happiness.
The teacher has appeared in this world
and the teachings have illuminated it like the light of the sun.
May the holders of the teachings be in harmony, like siblings,
and may the goodness of the teachings remain for a very long time.
